The Finnish Volkswagen Association (FVWA) is a club for Volkswagen owners and anybody interested in Volkswagens. Our purpose is to bring together VW enthusiasts and help them find information and parts.
The club was founded in 1982 and local chapters have been set up across the country. By the end of 2007, our membership exceeded 2500 people. As far as we know, we are the biggest single-marque club in Finland.
- The FVWA publishes a club magazine, Volkkari, which is sent out to members five times a year. Volkkari contains articles written by members, covering VW events, history and technical topics.
- FVWA members and their VWs attend numerous car shows and meets in Finland and abroad. The most popular club-organized event is the BUG IN FINN, held annually in late July, where hundreds of VW enthusiasts gather with their cars and families to meet each other, relax and have a good time.
- The FVWA runs a Club Shop that tours the events, selling unique membership products and providing club info. Most of the items on offer are designed and realized by members.
- The FVWA has an extensive website at www.fvwa.fi, including an active discussion forum.
- FVWA members receive valuable benefits related to the car hobby, e.g. discounts on Club Shop items, magazines and events.
- If you are interested in becoming a member of the FVWA, please send your details to: FVWA, PO Box 78, FI-38201 SASTAMALA, FINLAND; or by e-mail to: members(at)fvwa.fi. The annual membership fee is EUR 25.
